Evaluation Part 1- The Brief

The brief stated that we had to create a new music artist, for which we had to create a Magazine Advert, 6-8 panel DigiPak and Music Video. I initially started searching for a music artist on YouTube, but the final chosen song was taken off an unsigned music artist. We chose to use the song Jackie Boyz- Callin’ Me. My partner and I specifically took a liking to this song because it was a very typical Hip-Hop/ Soul song which is what we had both been looking into, before putting our ideas together to produce a final outcome. After doing further research into the artist, we contacted him through email, and twitter which he gave us permission to do so. At this point, we both had a vague idea of what we wanted to achieve for this music video, and how we wanted to go about doing it, it was simply a matter of putting these ideas down and forming a script.
